Meet Elena

Elena sincerely believe things happen for a reason and finding Silver Linings Transitions is a perfect example of one of those moments. While researching for businesses servings seniors she found a YouTube video on Silver Linings Transitions. She was inspired by the owner’s story, Jami Shapiro, who started a business helping seniors transition to senior communities and had no idea there was an actual business doing this. Elena says,
Not only was this a great idea, it’s genuinely rewarding helping those who could really use some extra caring hands moving their personal things. Immediately I knew I wanted to be a part of this wonderful business. Silver Linings managers are not only organizing, packing and unpacking, they are decorating the new home with caring hands."
Elena spent six years as an entrepreneur in home decorating before she began her twenty-one career as a textile stylist and swimwear designer. Her grandmother was her inspiration for her creativity. She learned about colors, pattern designs and visual inspirations from her. "I was lucky to have inherited her genes. Our elders are filled with a library of knowledge and teach us so much. It’s our responsibility to take what we have learned and use it to benefit our lives and pass it on to others.", Elena said.
Elena is a proud mother of four grown children who are all so very creative in their own ways. The gene pool passed down very nicely. Helping seniors is like giving back to the grandparents who touched their lives. "It’s easy to care, harder to walk away and do nothing. Silver Linings Transitions is exactly what I expected. Women who care enough to help senior families transition easier."
