Moving and relocation is difficult under the best of circumstances. If you are 40 years old and moving to your dream home, it's stressful. If you are in your 70s, 80s or 90s and moving from the home you raised your family in, it's even more so. Compounding this stress is the reality that you are starting a new phase of your life. You may be unable to care for a large home or perhaps you've had to give up driving. A client we worked with this week is downsizing from a three bedroom condo and a spacious kitchen to a two bedroom condo with a kitchen that is about 1/4 of the size they had.
